Session Date and Time: 2nd July, 2020, 7:00 – 8:00 pm IST

Session Title: Coaching Across Cultures

Session Description: Cultural differences of all kinds are often a source of misunderstandings and frustrations. In this webinar, Prof. Philippe Rosinski will show how coaches and leaders can improve their creativity and impact by treating cultural differences as a source of richness and as an opportunity to go beyond current cultural limitations. You will learn about a broad, inclusive and dynamic concept of culture that contrasts with the traditional static and binary view (which tends to perpetuate limiting stereotypes).

You will discover how the Cultural Orientations Framework (COF) assessment -a roadmap and assessment tool to navigate the cultural terrain- can bring your individual and team coaching to the next level. Takeaways:

  • Learn how to release higher creativity, achieve greater impact, as well as promote unity by making the most of alternative cultural perspectives;
  • Discover how to go beyond current cultural norms, values, and beliefs (and stereotypes) when working with people;
  • Acquire a vocabulary to describe salient cultural characteristics;
  • Learn about the Cultural Orientations Framework (COF) assessment and how the tool can be used to promote individual, team and organizational development.

About the speaker: Prof. Philippe Rosinski, MCC, is considered the pioneer of intercultural and global coaching. He is the author of two seminal books, Coaching Across Cultures and Global Coaching. For almost 30 years and across continents, Philippe has helped people and organizations thrive and make a positive difference in the world.

Philippe is a world authority in executive coaching, team coaching, and global leadership development. He is the first European to have been designated Master Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation. He has also developed an integrative coaching supervision approach.

Philippe is the principal of Rosinski & Company, a consultancy based in Belgium with partners around the globe, and a professor at the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business in Tokyo, Japan. He intervenes in several other academic institutions including HEC Paris and the University of Cambridge.

Session Title: Masculine and Feminine aspects of the coaching competencies

Session Description: We are energy beings and we have in us both masculine and feminine energy, which are not separated by they can express through different behaviours and choices. We live in a world both of duality and oneness. The polarity of the masculine and feminine bring to the surface one of the common imbalances in our life, but humanity needs to remember that we are all both sides all at once, masculine and feminine. It is interesting to point out how many professional competencies of a Coach are a pure feminine expression, and how many of them are on the other side an expression of masculine energy. We will explore this topic, we will dig into our essence as human beings, and we will explore it from our coaching perspective and from the perspective of the client. We will use some ready-to-use exercises to learn how to recognize and use our immense resources hidden in the masculine and feminine illusion of separation.

About the speaker: Since 1986 in skills development, training and HR management for leading companies in the fashion, publishing, and financial field. She has been inspired by a deep passion for purposeful leadership and personal &; professional development.

Cristina founded CoachingEra in 2013 and channeled in this company her 30+ years experience in leadership training, consulting and mentoring in the global corporate world to deliver purposeful high quality coaching and training.

The age of disruption calls for companies to plan for positions that don’t exist now and recruit and develop talent that will be agile and competent enough to fill those positions. This calls for sourcing and developing agile people who can fill those positions because they have the ability to learn, unlearn, relearn and multi-skill fast and easy in new, first time situations. Before people can be agile at learning, thinking, emotions, leadership and how they perform in teams, they need to optimize the drivers that impact the ease and speed with which they learn, think and process information and integrate the neurophysiological elements which determine their neurological design and impact their mental flexibility. Being able to optimize these brain-based elements will enable people to be neuro agile, which is the starting point for developing agile people. During this session Dr. André Vermeulen will explore how the construct of neuro-agility helps coaching professionals to develop talent, improve their client’s performance and reduce their risk for human error.

TAKEAWAYS:

About the Session:
It’s a fundamental aspect of the coaching partnership: establishing and maintaining agreements about how a coach and client will work together and what the client wants to accomplish. The agreements “set the table” and determine how effective and productive the coaching will be. In this session, we’ll look at the agreement through two different lenses. We’ll start with an exploration of the “Big A” Agreement that guides the partnership and establishes mutual boundaries and expectations, builds trust and safety, seeks to understand cultural or organizational systems, and clarifies the client’s goals. Then we’ll discuss the “little a” agreement, the one we create in a session that provides the roadmap for a coaching conversation. Through a combination of content, discussion, and a live demonstration, you’ll come away with new perspectives and ideas on how to set both you and your clients up for a powerful coaching partnership.

Session Date and Time: 29th November, 2022, 7:00 – 8:00 pm IST

Session Title: “Neuroscience, Coaching and the Power of the Extended Mind”

Session Details:
In the ever-increasing complexity of the world today, some researchers are saying that we may well have pushed our cognitive capacities as far as we can. In other words, the brain alone is not enough for our clients to process, manage, and work with the mental challenges of modern life. So what do we do, and where does coaching fit?

The answer may be found in what neuroscience and philosophy refer to as “the extended mind,” which points us as coaches to engage aspects of the client and client’s life that broaden their cognitive capacity. For example:

1. Using techniques that tap into internal sensations is a way to extend the mind into the whole physical system of the client;
2. Externalizing the issue or topic through metaphor, visual work and moving in space extends the mind outside the closed loop of the brain;
3. The coaching relationship itself brings in a sort of extended “collaborative mind” that is created through the safe space, the coach’s presence and even the intuition of the coach; and lastly
4. The appropriate use of technology to track commitments, automize reminders, etc., can help keep coaching alive between sessions in a way that extends the client’s capacity for both memory and focus.

In this lively, provocative, and experiential session, neuroscience and coaching expert Ann Betz will take you through the science and the practicalities of extending the mind – what we are already doing as coaches and where we can stretch to help our clients be even more effective in this complex world.

Participants will:

1. Learn the four factors of the extended mind and where they fit in the coaching relationship;
2. Explore simple strategies for expanding their ability to help their clients “extend their minds;” and
3. Learn a new coaching tool to help the client think outside their brain.

Our inner parts contain valuable qualities and our Core Self that knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole. In IFS all parts are welcome.

IFS is a movement. A new, empowering paradigm for understanding and harmonizing the mind and, thereby, larger human systems. One that can help people heal and helps the world become a more compassionate place.
Safia will demonstrate how the IFS would be a powerful model to set free clients from being burdened by the sub-personalities (parts) created by the mind. She will also explain how Self-energy is the maestro of the human system that can eventually heal our internal and external world.
